Sofee Initiative

Sofee Initiative was founded by Ustaz Khairi Nazron. Ustaz studied in Syria for 5 years and graduated from Abu Nour University in Damascus majoring in Islamic Jurisprudence and Arabic Language. While in Syria, Ustaz studied under the tutelage of eminent scholars such as Syeikh Hussin So'biah, Syeikh Aboulhudaa Al-Yaqoubi and Syeikh Feras Selou. 

 Ustaz Khairi Nazron has worked in diverse sectors with the longest being in the mosque sector for over 10 years. Currently, Ustaz spends most of his time as a freelance lecturer with organisations such as PERGAS Association, Travel & Tour Agencies and various mosques. Ustaz also has experience with local and international couples having conducted Marriage Guidance Courses at various organisations in Singapore.

In the past, Ustaz's work involved engaging with remarried international couples and providing islamic inputs with regards to matters pertaining marriage. The Marriage Guidance Courses conducted by Ustaz involved addressing of individual couples’ concerns to help couples prepare themselves for marriage. 

Our niche program #FiqhNikahKahwin was started in 2017 by Ustaz Khairi Nazron with the intention of providing a Marriage Guidance Course grounded by purely Islamic rulings with reference based on the classical text by Sheikh Omar al-Khatib. Ustaz Khairi Nazron was given the permission by Ustaz Salleh Hamid himself to deliver and conduct the classes based on his book on Fiqh Nikah Kahwin, Bab Munahakat Jilid 1 & 2. Eventually, the program was further improvised to ‘Before You Tie The Knot’ seeking to equip the community with essential Islamic knowledge on Marriage and beyond.

Till date, Ustaz has engaged with over 1500 individuals with countless of positive feedback from past participants on ‘Before You Tie The Knot’. Beyond the statistics, Ustaz finds fulfillment in teaching and sharing sacred Islamic knowledge. Ustaz also finds passion in serving the community and strongly believes in the art of giving and learning to give back.
